🌸What is Shady Rest Campground? 

• ✨Shady Rest Campground is a family owned private property that offers camping once a year during the Oregon Country Fair. The rest of the year it is our personal home. 

• ✨We are a temporary campground- not a festival & we are not the OCF. 

• ✨We offer live music and fun for the entertainment and enjoyment of our campers. 

• ✨Please note that due to the temporary nature of this event and permit limitations, infrastructure and services are limited in some aspects. 

🌸Does everybody in my group need their own camping pass? 

✨Yes, all adults must purchase a camping pass to enter. 1 camping pass= 1 human.  Children under 12 do not need a purchased pass, but all minors must be under the supervision of an adult at all times. 

🌸Can I camp only one night? 

✨Well, sure! But one night or four, the price is the same.

🌸Do you have RV Hookups? 

✨No. Be prepared to be self contained. Generators are A OK 8am-Midnight. 

🌸Potable water? 

✨Please bring all drinking water needed for the weekend. A good rule of thumb is 2 Gallons per day per person.
This is just a suggestion and depending on personal needs may be different.
There will be areas of camp that offer free water bottles, but please don’t rely on that solely to get you through. 

🌸Do you have showers? 

✨Unfortunately, our well system and drain field is unable to accommodate a shower area that meets code requirements. We recommend bringing your own portable shower system or heading across to the ritz for a relaxing shower experience. 

🌸What’s the 411 on parking? 

• • • • ✨There are two parking options for Shady Rest Campers only. Parking fees are in addition to camping pass fees and is purchased day of. 

      • ✨General Parking- located in the adjacent fields to camp (right by registration). $25.00 from Thursday-Monday @ Noon. 

      • ✨Campsite Parking- $80.00 Thursday-Monday @noon. 

      • ✨Please understand that having vehicles on the land is extremely damaging, please drive slow (5MPH) and expect to stay parked all weekend. This is a safety issue. 

      • ✨Campsite parking is limited in quantity and is granted on a first come first serve basis. 

🌸Can I bring my nitrous tank and fill up balloons?? 

• ✨My friend, No. and if security finds it, they will confiscate it. You’ve been warned. 

🌸What about drugs and alcohol? 

• • • • ✨Shady Rest is a drug and alcohol free campground. 

      • ✨Illicit substance dealers will be dealt with by the Sheriff’s Department . 🤠

🌸Uh oh, I snuck my friend in and ya caught me- now what? 

• • • • ✨Security will  ask you to pack up your belongings and exit- no refunds. Trespassers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of applicable law. 

🌸I cut a hole in the fence to get through and you caught me! What now? 

• • • • ✨You will be considered a trespasser and prosecuted to the fullest extent of applicable law- and I’ll make you pay for the fence damage. I mean it. 

🌸Can I bring my dog? 

• • • • ✨No, absolutely no pets. Task trained service animals are allowed but must be under the supervision of their handlers at all times. 

      • ✨Shady Rest is not liable for the safety of any animals brought on to the property. 

🌸Can I let my freak flag fly? 

• • • • ✨Well! It depends. 

      • ✨Shady Rest does not allow lewd or pornographic images or actions to be displayed to the public. 

      • ✨As per Oregon law, genitals must be covered at all times. 

      • ✨Harassment, assault, or any actions that cause harm or make someone feel unsafe is not tolerated. 

      • ✨Failure to adhere to these policies will result in immediate expulsion. 

🌸What’s over the bridge? 

• • • • ✨Darlings Reunion. This is a private camp ground that is not affiliated with Shady Rest. You may only cross if you are a registered Darling camper on the nice list. 

      • ✨Shady Rest does not have any control over who is allowed over the bridge- arguing with the gate staff will do nothing but put us all in a cranky mood. 

🌸Can I get a refund?   

• • • • ✨No. 

🌸Can I transfer my pass? 

• • • • ✨Absolutely. 

      • ✨ All transfers and resales are done between the two agreeing parties. Shady Rest Campground is not liable or responsible for scammers or fake passes. If you would like to check the validity of a pass, we would be happy to do verify until July 4th. 

🌸Can I party all night? 

• • • • ✨Well, sure! Please be respectful to your neighbors and limit your partying and no amplified music in your camp after 11PM. If your neighbors complain, you are being too loud.  If our neighbors complain, we are in trouble. 

🌸I just wanna come dance/flow and see a show one evening ! 

• ✨Okay! No problem, we offer entertainment passes for purchase that are good until 2AM each night. 

• ✨These are purchased at the front gate. 

• ✨You MUST show proof that you are camping at a neighborhood campground or the faire. This is to mitigate overstays. 

• ✨No parking offered. 

• ✨Local to the area or one of our neighbors? Inquire for information.  

🌸Absolutely no open flame 

• • • • ✨this includes, but is not limited to-charcoal bbqs, fire pits (propane or wood), fireworks, camp fires, candles, etc. 

      • ✨Propane grills are OK but must be elevated off the ground. 

🌸Please note, this is our community, our neighbors,and our home. 

Trespassing of any kind to neighboring properties or the fair is not tolerated
and will fast track you to “the naughty list” meaning you will not be allowed back. 

We all talk to eachother. Small town kinda stuff. Remember to be gracious guests ❤️
